This research aims to enhance children's expressive language through the use of hand puppets as a media tool among early childhood children at TK Aisyiyah Bustamil Atfal IV Cilacap. It employs a Classroom action research design with a
total of 15 subjects consisting of seven male and eight female children. The results
indicate improvement in expressive language ability through storytelling using
hand puppets among the B5 group of children (second-year students) at TK
Aisyiyah Bustamil Atfal IV Cilacap. This is evidenced by the findings from the initial
study which revealed that there were children whose expressive language abilities
developed as expected (BSH) amounting to four children (27%) showing initial
development in seven children (47%) and no development in four children (27%) In
cycle I, children with very good expressive language abilities (BSB) amounted to
six children (40%), those developing as expected (BSH) were five children (33%),
showing initial development were four children (27%), and none exhibited no
development (BB). In cycle II of the study, children with very good expressive
language abilities (BSB) numbered 11 (73%), those developing as expected (BSH)
were two (13%), showing initial development were two (13%), and none exhibited
no development (BB).
