A classroom action research was conducted in two cycles with three meetings
each. The research subjects were 16 children aged 2-3 years from KB Kreatif
Aisyiyah Gombong, consisting of 9 boys and 7 girls. Observation and
documentation were used to collect data, and analysis was done using qualitative
methods. The results showed an improvement in fine motor skills through AB AB
pattern meronce activities. Initially, in the AB AB pattern meronce activity, 9
children (60%) were categorized as Not Yet Developed, 4 children (25%) as
Developing, and 3 children (15%) as Developing as Expected. In Cycle I, there
was an improvement with a decrease in the Not Yet Developed category to 1 child
(5%), 9 children (60%) were Developing, 6 children (30%) were Developing as
Expected, and 1 child (5%) was categorized as Developing Very Well. In Cycle II,
there was further improvement with 12 children (80%) categorized as Developing
Very Well, 2 children (10%) as Developing as Expected, and 2 children (10%) as
Developing. In Cycle II, no children were categorized as Not Yet Developed.
Referring to the success rate percentage, Cycle II was considered successful as
the success rate exceeded 80%.
