This research aims to determine the improvement of children's language skills
through the storytelling method using audio-visual media in group B KB Ibnu
Kholdun Cimanggu.
This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK), there will be four stages of
research carried out. These stages are planning, implementation, observation and
reflection. At the implementation stage, the research was carried out in two cycles
with each cycle consisting of three meetings with the research subjects being group
B children, totaling 15 children consisting of 5 boys and 10 girls. The object of this
research is language ability. The data collection tools used are observation and
documentation.
The research results show that children's language development increases after
action through audio-visual media. The development of the language aspects of the
initial study has not yet developed (BB) is 40%, Starting to Develop (MB) 27%,
and Developing According to Expectations (BSH) 33%, cycle I Starting to Develop
(MB) 33%, and Developing According to Expectations (BSH) 27%, and Very Well
Developing (BSB) 40%. In cycle II there was an increase in Not Yet Developing
(BB) 0%, Starting to Develop (MB) 0%, Developing According to Expectations
(BSH) 13%, and Developing Very Well (BSB) 87%. The final results of the research
on the indicators of Repeating Simple Sentences were 87%, Answering Simple
Questions 87%, Expressing Opinions 87%.
