Background: Inappropriate drug planning will lead to drug accumulation.
Accumulating medication will often cause the medication to expire. Hospitals
provide a medicines budget of around 40-50% of the total budget. The large
budget for pharmaceutical supplies must be managed effectively and efficiently.
Many hospitals still fail to plan and stock medicines, resulting in frequent reports
of finding damaged and expired medicines. Method: This type of research is nonexperimental
descriptive because it does not intervene on the sample. Data
obtained from primary data (interviews) and secondary data (expired drug list
documents). The primary data (interviews) obtained were compiled into original
narrative form and then carried out qualitative analysis. Secondary data (expired
medication list documents) were obtained using the Microsoft Excel application

incurred by Hospital The causes of expired medicines at Hospital Rp 52.958.329
atau 0,0024% which means it meets good expired drug indicators because the
value is no more than 1%. The causes of expired medicines at Hospital.
Conclusion: The percent of expired medicines caused by hospital This must
continue to be maintained and always improved to avoid significant losses due to
expired drugs.
