Abstract
Sweet corn (Zea mays Saccharate L.) is a commodity in high demand by consumers due to its sweet taste, low-fat content, and higher vitamin A and C levels than regular corn. Adding nutrients through fertilization can replace lost nutrients due to erosion and leaching. This research aims to determine the most effective dosage of Bioneensis biofertilizer and NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of sweet corn (Zea mays Saccharate L.). This research was conducted from August 2023 to October 2023 at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture and Fisheries, Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. The research method used was a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two factors consisting of nine treatments, repeated three times, and each treatment included five sweet corn plants. The Bioneensis biofertilizer treatments were B0 = 0 kg/ha, B1 = 2.02 tons/ha, B2 = 4.04 tons/ha, and NPK fertilizer treatments were N0 = 0 kg/ha, N1 = 243 kg/ha, N2 = 486 kg/ha. ANOVA followed by DMRT at a 5% significance level was used to analyze the data. The results of the Bioneensis fertilizer treatment showed a significant effect on the leaf area 42 days after planting. The NPK fertilizer treatment showed a substantial impact on plant height at 42 days after planting, the number of leaves at 56 days after planting, leaf area at 42-56 days after planting, stem diameter at 42-56 days after planting, cob length, cob weight with husk, and cob weight without husk. The combination of Bioneensis biofertilizer and NPK did not significantly affect all growth and yield variables of sweet corn (Zea mays Saccharate L.).
