Abstract

Oyster Mushroom (P. ostreatus) is a variety of edible wood fungus characterized by its white color and a cap shape resembling an oyster shell. Environmental factors such as temperature and humidity greatly influence its growth. In mushroom cultivation, the mushroom house (kumbung) plays a crucial role in protecting the mushroom planting medium (baglog) from rainwater, direct sunlight, and unwanted mushroom spore contaminants. The main challenge in oyster mushroom cultivation is the fluctuation of temperature and humidity. This research designs an automatic misting system using the fuzzy logic in the mushroom house. This system involves several components such as the ESP32 as a microcontroller, the DHT11 sensor as temperature and humidity input, the L298N Driver as an actuator Driver, mistmaker and DC fan as actuators, and the 16x2 I2C LCD as a data display. The focus of the research is on two input variables (temperature and humidity) and one output variable (misting) on a miniature scale. The control process is carried out by defuzzification, which produces a PWM voltage value on the L298N Driver actuator. Comparison of fuzzy output computation between Matlab and ESP32 microcontroller has a difference value of 0.13937%. Evaluation of temperature and humidity using DHT11 sensor revealed an error rate of approximately 2.18% for temperature and 3.28% for humidity. Observations of oyster mushroom growth showed that 90% of the 10 observed bags, 9 of them were able to grow after the mycelium incubation period..
