Abstract

This study aims to examine (1) the positive effect of learning with the QR Code
application on student motivation. (2) the positive effect of learning with the QR Code
application on student achievement. (3) positive teacher responses to the use of the QR
Code application, (3) positive student responses to the use of the QR Code application.
The research carried out is a combination research (mixed methods) namely the
sequential model (sequential) sequential combination model where in the first stage of
research using quantitative methods with a higher weight than qualitative methods.
Quantitative research using experimental class and control class methods, both motivation
and student achievement. While qualitative research uses open-ended questions on the
use of the QR Code application in learning. This research technique is a quasi-experimental
research with a pretest - post test design. Nonequivalent control group
design. This study used two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class.
The research population was students of class V A and V n MI Muhammadiyah Wangon
Semester l for the academic year 2021 /2022. The sample was selected using cluster
random sampling technique into the experimental class and the control class. The
research instrument used a questionnaire for students' motivation and learning
achievement tests. Data analysis techniques include ( I) descriptive statistics, and (2)
inferential statistics with t-test. The results showed that there was a difference in
influence between the experimental class and the control class. Pre-test student learning
outcomes showed that the average control class was higher than the experimental class.
The control class is 61.52 while the experimental class is 59.57. While the post test
control class is lower than the experimental class. The average control class is 65.65, the
experimental class is 74.13. For students' learning motivation t count 3.399 t table 1.680.
Likewise, the response to the QR Code application in learning is positive.
