The objectives of this study are 1) To explain the effectiveness of
Leadership Principal of SD Muhammadiyah Jenang in improving the quality of
education, 2) To explain the efforts made by the Principal of SD Muhammadiyah
Jenang in order to improve the quality of education which includes planning
(planning), organizing (organizing), briefing (briefing), and supervision
(supervision), 3) To explain the factors that support the improvement of quality
and quality of education through school-based management, 4) To find out the
inhibiting factors in the implementation of school-based management to improve
the quality of education.
This research was conducted at SD Muhammadiyah Jenang, Majenang
Sub-district, Cilacap Regency for four months, starting from March 2023 to June
2023. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. This research is
an implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) at SD Muhammadiyah
Jenang in order to improve the quality of school education. In finding real
evidence in this research, we used the interview method, observation and
documentation study.
The implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) carried out by
the principal is very effective in order to improve the quality of education at SD
Muhammadiyah Jenang, Majenang District, Cilacap Regency. The principal has a
very good leadership system, it can be seen that the principal in planning,
organizing, directing, controlling is very effective because it always involves all
teaching staff, education staff, committees, foundation boards, student guardians
and even the community. Thus it can improve the quality of education.
In his duties, the principal of SD Muhammadiyah Jenang as Manager,
Leader, Administrator, Supervisor, Innovator and Motivator is carried out
appropriately and effectively. Principals always make the best use of opportunities
or supporting factors by managing them optimally. Principals always have a
solutive nature in dealing with problems. With an effective leadership system that
is expected by the head of SD Muhammadiyah Jenang through MBS can improve
the quality of education.
