The decline in the character of the nation's children due to Covid-19 in this day
and age requires the implementation of character education in every school.
Schools not only learn about general subject matter, but at school it must also be
paired with character education so that the nation's children grow with good
character and good morals in accordance with religious teachings. The aim of this
research is to find out how the formation of morals in students through school
culture at MAN Purbalingga.
This research uses a qualitative research approach. This research is a type of field
research with data collection techniques using observation, interviews and
documentation which will be collected and analyzed qualitatively using
descriptive methods and linking one another to and producing conclusions.
The results of this study state that the Purbalingga State Islamic Senior High
School forms students who have good morals through the school culture at the
Purbalingga Public High School, namely with several activities. Such as reading
prayers before and after studying, tadarus of the Qur'an, reading Asmaul Husna,
shaking hands with the teacher, the habit of praying dhuha, praying dhuhur in
congregation. The first supporting factors are family, educators and habituation,
while the inhibiting factors for the formation of the character of Akhlakul
Karimah are the decline in morale and student background.
