Abstract
The purpose of this study is to prove that using the finger puppet
method can enhance the verbal language skills of preschool children at TK
Aisyiyah 1 Rawalo, Rawalo District, Banyumas Regency, in the 2022/2023
academic year. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisted of two
cycles, each comprising three sessions. The problem-solving steps
involved four stages of activities: 1) Planning, 2) Implementation, 3)
Observation, and 4) Reflection. Research data were obtained through
direct observation and documentation of the research subjects, the
children of TK Aisyiyah 1 Rawalo, Rawalo District, Banyumas Regency, in
the 2022/2023 academic year. The data were then analyzed descriptively,
qualitatively, and quantitatively, focusing on the learning completeness of
19 students, with ten students considered in the analysis. The data were
analyzed step by step, considering the students' performance in the initial
study, cycles I and II. The research findings show that the finger puppet
activity can enhance children's verbal language skills in TK Aisyiyah 1
Rawalo, Rawalo District, Banyumas Regency, in the second semester of
the 2022/2023 academic year. In cycle I, the children's abilities were
classified as follows: undeveloped (0%), partially developed (0%),
developed as expected (60% for 6 children), and well-developed (40% for
4 children). In cycle II, no children were classified as undeveloped, partially
developed, or developed as expected. Instead, all 10 children (100%)
were classified as well-developed, indicating an improvement from the
initial study, cycle I, to cycle II.
