This tudy aims to determine the effect of the use of sign language aided by picture cards and students learning activity in the vocabulary mastery learning in class II deaf SLB Negeri Cilacap. This research is experiment research two independet variables (the use of sign language aided by picture cards and students learning activity) and one dependent variable (the vocabulary mastery).
The research datas shows that: 1) there is positive and significant effect of the use of sign language aided by picture cards to the student vocabulary mastery at class II deaf SLB Negeri Cilacap, from the result of analysis that F = 4,553 > F1,5,5% = 4,10, 2) there is positive and significant effect of the student learning activity to the student vocabulary mastery at class II deaf SLB Negeri Cilacap, from the result of analysis that F = 6,197 > F1,5,5% = 4,10, 3) there is positive and significant effect of the use of sign language aided by picture cards and the student learning activity to the student vocabulary mastery at class II deaf SLB Negeri Cilacap, from the result of analysis that F = 9,157 > F2,4,5% = 3,25.
