The study aimed to describe the values of character education in theAnak Badai
novel by Tere Liye. It was a qualitative study. The data were the sentences
containing the values of character education. The data source was the novel Anak
Badai by Tere Liye. The research approach was a moral approach. The results
indicated that the values of character education contained in the novel were ( 1) the
religious values including (a) greeting when visiting, (b) diligently praying, (c)
diligently reciting the Quran, (d) ) calling to prayer, (e) believing in the greatness
of God, (f) putting your trust in God, and (g) praying. (2) The value of
responsibility included: (a) responsibility as a child, (b) responsibility for the tasks
assigned, (c) responsibility for work, and (d) responsibility for parents. (3) The
creative values included creatively creating works of art. (4) The friendly or
communicative values included cooperation. (5) The value of appreciating the
work of others included (a) respecting the advantages of others, and (b)
appreciating the hard work of others. (6) The value of curiosity included curiosity
about something heard. (7) The democratic values included being free to add
opinions. (8) The social care values included (a) parental concern for children and
(b) concern for friends. (9) The noble values included (a) not taking revenge, (b)
being easy to forgive, and (c) being kind. (10) The value of harmony included
being harmony among communities. (11) The values of respect included
respecting others.
