Abstract
This study discusses the role of teachers and parents in distance learning for the third-grade students during the COVID-19 pandemic at SD Negeri Singasari, Banyumas Regency. This is descriptive qualitative research. The role of teachers and parents is very important in distance
learning so that learning runs effectively. The subjects of this study were school principals, third-grade teachers, parents, and students. The instruments used for data collection are 1) observation, 2) interviews, and 3)
documentation. To test the validity of the data, the researcher used both source triangulation and technique. Based on the research results, it was found that the role of the teacher in distance learning was as a motivator,
helping students to get material, guiding students to study remotely, and measuring the level of students' learning abilities. The parents play a role as teachers at home, they become motivators and are obliged to remind and accompany students to learn and do the tasks given by the teacher. Apart from being a companion, parents also play a role in providing facilities and infrastructure to support distance learning activities and they also play an active role in finding material when students do not understand.
