Abstract

Collectrothicum Capsici is a fungus that can damage and reduce the production of chili plants, especially the red ones. Collectrothicum Capsici attacks chilies with small black spots marked on the fruit and it causes the fruit to shrivel, wrinkle and fall to the ground. This research aimed to obtain the optimal concentration of ginger, turmeric, and galangal extract to inhibit the growth of Coilectrotichum Capsici attacking child plants. The research was conducted from August to October 2020 at the Laboratory of Basic Agrotechnology of the Faculty of Agriculture, the laboratory of Biology, and at the Green House of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. It was carried out using a completely randomized design (RAK) with 1 factor and 10 levels. The vegetable pesticide extract was given in 10 concentrations: Control, ginger extract (7.5%,
15%, 22.5%), turmeric extract (7.5%, 15%, 22.5%), and galangal extract (7, 5%, 15%, 22.5% ). The observation variables were disease intensity, pesticide effectiveness, plant height, crown diameter, number of healthy fruits, and healthy fruit weight. Vegetable extract spraying was performed once a week for 10 weeks. The results The concentrations of vegetable pesticides with 22.5% ginger, 22.5% turmeric, and 22.5% galangal extract could reduce the intensity of anthracnose from 13.41% to 2.58%, 3.94%, and 2.06%. The concentration of ginger, turmeric, and galangal extracts had a significant effect on the variable of disease intensity.
