Since March 2020, remote learning has been implemented in SD N 1
Dukuhwaluh due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, this qualitative
research was considered necessary to be conducted to find out the
implementation of remote learning e!.pecially on the fzflh-grade of class Bas
the high class using descnptive method The data were collected using
related documentation and semi-structured interviews with 10 fifth grade
students of class B, 10 parents, and 1 classroom teacher. They were then
analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model and the validity was tested
using data and methodological triangulation. The results explained that: 1)
the renwte learning started at 07.00-12. (}() and was done through WhatsApp
group in which the teacher greeted the students, gave motivation, opened,
and closed the' class. Other times, the teacher also sent videos from Youtube
as learning media through WhatsApp. Moreover, the students were able to be
present regularly and follow the remote learning well;2)the communication

smoothness of the remote learning and communication was a crucial thing to
do to build the students' learning motivation, and 3)teacher and parents were
the good support needed by the students when they faced problems in doing
questions and understanding materials. Meanwhile, the main obstacle was
the distance between teacher and students which made it hard for the
students to understand the materials .
