An intensively done cultivation of African Catfish usually applies a high stocking
density on a limited area, so slow growth is more likely to happen. One of the
ways to overcome the issue is by giving supplements that can help the growth.
The results from some research show that ginger and turmeric can stimulate the
growth of some kinds of fish. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to find
out the effects of giving supplements of ginger and turmeric combination on
catfish growth. This research used a Completely Randomized Design with the
treatment of giving supplements of ginger and turmeric combined with the dosage
of (6.750 mg of ginger+ 150 mg of turmeric)lkg of feed{Pl), (6.000 mg of
ginger+ 300 mg of turmeric)/ kg of feed(P2), (5.250 mg of ginger+ 450 mg of
turmeric)/kg of feed(P3), and control (PO), with 4 repetitions. The observed
parameters included weight and length increase, feed efficiency, FCR (Feed
Conversion Ratio), and SGR (Specific Growth Rate). The obtained data were
analyzed using F test on the trust level of 95% with variant analysis then
continued with DMRT on test level of 95%. The results show that supplements of
ginger and turmeric combination can increase the growth significantly. PO was
markedly different with the treatments in all parameters with various results
among the treatments. The supplementation can be used to increase the growth of
African Catfish with an optimal dosage of(6.750 mg of ginger+ 150 mg of
tunneric )/kg of feed{Pl ).
