Abstract

This study aims to describe the cultural elements and life attitudes of the Javanese people in Daldy's Liku-liku Hidup novel. This was descriptive qualitative research with the elements of Javanese culture and life attitudes in the novel Liku-liku Hidup by Daldy as the objects of study. The approach used was the literary anthropological approach. The data in this study were text in the form of words, sentences, and expressions that contain elements of Javanese culture and life attitudes in the Liku-liku Hidup novel by Daldy. The source of the data was the Liku-liku Hidup novel by Daldy. The data collection methods in this study used reading and notetaking techniques. The data analysis techniques in this study were divided into three steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results of this research and study indicate that the elements of Javanese culture in Liku-liku Hidup by Daldy include: First, the language of Javanese people, including: (1) den; (2) nembang; (3) ngger; (4) nduk; (5) ndoro; (6) maturnuwun; (7) dalem; (8) mbok; and (9) gusti. Second, the knowledge system in the form of a knowledge system about the traits and behaviors among human beings, including: (1) tumbak cucukan; and (2) duro sembodo. Third, the living tools system and technology in the form of food, including (1) sayur bening bayam: and (2) urap. Fourth, arts in the form of sound arts, namely maca,Pat songs, including (1) pangkur song; (2) mijil song; and (3) sinom song. Meanwhile, the Javaneses life attitudes in Liku-liku Hidup by Daldy includes: 1) the attitude of mituhu (loyal); 2) patience; 3) pracaya (believing); and 4) eling (mindful).
