Abstract

The research aimed to know English teachers’ perceptions of the shift from online to offline learning after the pandemic. The objective of this research was to know teachers' perceptions of the shift from online to offline learning after the pandemic includes three aspects: challenges, opportunities and preferences. The method used in this research was descriptive research by using close-ended questionnaire. The subjects of this research were English teacher in private, public and islamic junior high school in Purwokerto. The data were gathered through descriptive statistic by using table and likert scale for data analysis technique. The result of this research showed that teacher has positive perception in each subject. Teachers strongly agree that offline learning after the pandemic is challenges, proven by 88% of the result percentage by questionnaire. The percentage of the result from opportunities and preferences subject shows 84,6% and 89,7%, it means that teacher strongly agree that offline learning after the pandemic give more opportunities to interact and easily to deliver the material during learning process and evaluation. Thus, offline learning after the pandemic gived more challenges by the teacher but also gived positive opportunities and preferences.
