Abstract

This research is entitled "The Ability Difference of Listening, Reading, and Writing Speech Text Between School With Islamic Boarding House Based and School Without Islamic Boarding House Based to Students Class IX Junior High School (SMP/MTs) at Kesugihan District". This comparation research is aimed to know the ability difference of 1). Listening speech text, 2) Reading speech text, 3) Writing speech text between students class IX at Junior High School (SMP/MTs) who study at Islamic Boarding School based and not study at Islamic Boarding House based at Kesugihan District. The evaluation of ability in listening, reading, and writing speech text are used as primary data with the object is students class IX Junior High School (SMP/MTs) with and without Islamic Boarding House based.
Based on the research finding, the reseaecher found that 1) the rates score of listening speech text of students class IX Junior High Schol (SMP/MTs
with Islamic Boarding House based: 81,27, while the rates score of students class IX Junior High School (SMP/MTs) without Islamic Boarding House based: 69,40; 2) the rates score of reading speech text of students class IX Junior High School (SMP/MTs) with islamic boarding house based: 81,05, while the rates score students class IX junior high school (SMP/MTs) without islamic boarding house based: 69,57; and 3) the rates score of writing speech text students class IX junior high school (SMP/MTs) with islamic boarding house based: 80,61, while the rates of students class IX junior high school (SMP/MTs) without islamic boarding house based: 69,46.
From the research finding and discussion can be concluded that the ability of listening, reading, and writing speech text of students class IX junior high school (SMP/MTs) who study at islamic boarding house based is higher than students class IX who study at non islamic boarding house based
The researcher recommend to the teachers class IX junior high school (SMP/MTs) at Kesugihan district to 1) change the method or learning approach 2) learning is more interactive with learning which focused on students, and 3) make habit to the students to speak up in formal forum
