This research entitled Description of Mathematical Communication for eighth-grade Students viewed from linguistic Intelligence. This was qualitative research and it aimed to describe the mathematical communication skills of eighth-grade students viewed from linguistic intelligence. The research subjects were students of eighth grade of class D at SMP Negeri 1 Sokaraja. The students were grouped into 3 levels of linguistic intelligence, namely high, medium, and low. 3 respondents were taken for each level using the purposive sampling technique. Questionnaires, tests, and interviews were the instruments used to collect data. Validity test using data triangulation technique. It can be concluded that: 1) Students with a high level of linguistic intelligence are able to visually describe mathematical problems, to change description questions into mathematical models either in writing or orally, and to solve mathematical problems clearly and completely. 2) Students with a medium level of linguistic intelligence are not able to explain the solution of mathematical problems clearly and completely, to visually describe mathematical problems, and to convert description questions into mathematical models. 3) Students with low levels of linguistic intelligence are not able to visually describe mathematical problems, to change description questions into mathematical models either in writing or orally, and to solve mathematical problems clearly and completely.
