Abstract

Because almost the entire world is currently experiencing the Covid-19 pandemic, including Indonesia, ideal learning should be the learning that involves students actively and emphasizes how to achieve goals in accordance with the expected curriculum. However, because the learning process cannot take place optimally, learning must be carried out remotely to break the ropes of the spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia. Many obstacles where discovered thought out the distance lerning process, one of which was found to be obstacles to teacher and student in the learning process of sciences (IPA). The purpose of this study is to describe to science process abilities of fourth-grade student at SDN Karangendep, as well as the constraints, strengths and weakness that come with remote learning. Observation, interviews, and documentation where use to collect data. The fourth grade student of SDN Karangendep served as the subject of this study. Triangulation technicues and sources where used to check the data’s validity. The findings revealed that distance learning students where unable to fully apply certain point in their science process abilities, resulting in students being unable to fully master the material presented by the teacher, ehich was caused In this case by a variety of obstacles. Students admitted that their consentration level had decreased as a result of the signal factor, in addition to distance learning, and that they where less able to fully focus on learning when they took part in the learning. The positives of remote learning include the ease with which it can be accessible and the flexibility with which it can be used, while the disadvantages include internet connectivity constrains, a lack of interaction between teacher and students, and a lack of student monitoring while studying.
