Abstract

This study aims to determine how nervous students are when speaking in public using the Google Meet application compared to using the Youtube application during online learning. This research method is qualitative. The sampling technique in this research is simple random sampling. The sample of this study was 58 students of English Education Department batch of 2018 at Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto. The research was conducted online through the questionnaire page. Questions posed to respondents refer to the characteristics of nervousness, namely physical symptoms, symptoms of mental processes, and emotional symptoms. Based on data analysis, the researcher concluded that the application that causes higher levels of nervousness when used for Public Speaking during online learning is Google Meet.
