Abstract
The aims of this research is to investigate students‟ perception of language laboratory in listening class. This research used a descriptive quantitative method. The sample of this research was 36 6th- and 8th-semester students of the English Language Education Study Program in one of the universities in Central Java. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The instruments of data collection were a closed-ended questionnaire and semi-structured interviews. The semi-structured interview was employed to support data from the questionnaire. The results indicated that they deemed the language laboratory offered such benefits as students‟ confidence have increased after using language laboratory so that they can improve their listening skills and the teacher will become technophile (a person who can operate technology).
