Abstract

Hypertension is a condition in which a person's blood pressure is greater than or equal to 140/90 mmHg. In 2016 hypertension was also the cause of death with 23.7% of the total 1.7 million deaths in Indonesia. Based on the results of research conducted by the Rowosari Public Health Center, Pemalang Regency, there were 35 hypertension sufferers and all of them were included in the inclusion criteria. This research is an observational research designed descriptively. Sampling was carried out using a total sampling technique carried out prospectively based on the patient's medical record. The data obtained were 35 cases. The results of this study showed that the most widely used antihypertensive was amlodiphine, the Calcium Channel Blocker group, as many as 32 patients (91%). The rationale for using drugs is to get 94% accurate results, 100% correct patients, 100% correct doses, 100% correct patients and 94% drug interactions. The results of statistical tests of the relationship between the rationality of using antihypertensive drugs with clinical outcomes showed a significance value of p 0.267>0.05, which means Ho was accepted, so there was no significant relationship between the rationality of using antihypertensive drugs with clinical outcomes in the form of achieving blood pressure targets in hypertensive patients.
