Abstract

This research is entitled "The Effectiveness of Learning Using the Student Teams Achievement Divisions Method on the Learning Outcomes of Class IX Students in Understanding Theory of Making Experimental Reports at SMP Negeri 2 Gandrungmangu Cilacap in 2021/2022". The purpose of this study was to determine the learning outcomes of class IX students in Indonesian subjects, the subject of which was to present an experimental report at SMP Negeri 2 Gandrungmangu Cilacap. To find out the effectiveness of the application of the STAD (Student Teams Achievement Divisions) model in improving the learning outcomes of class IX students in Indonesian subjects, the subject matter presented an experimental report at SMP Negeri 2 Gandrungmangu Cilacap. The type of research used is quantitative field research using experimental methods. Researchers used this technique because the population at SMP Negeri 2 Gandrungmangu Cilacap SMP which consisted of several classes. Then based on random to 5 classes, then obtained a sample of 2 classes with the number of samples in this study were 60 students. The analytical tools used are descriptive statistics and comparative t-test. The results showed that there was a difference in the effectiveness of learning with the student teams achievement divisions method on the learning outcomes of class IX students in presenting an experimental report at SMP Negeri 2 Gandrungmangu Cilacap in 2021/2022. These results are evidenced by the average test scores of students in class B who use the STAD model (85.00) which is greater than the test scores of students in Class A who do not use the STAD model (70.00) with a difference of 10.00. Statistical test results obtained t value of 5.477 and p = 0.000 is smaller than the value of = 0.05.
