This study examines imagery in poetry. The purpose of this study is to describe the imagery in the collection of poems from the Sun's Poems by PBSI UMP 2017 students. The approach used in this study is an objective approach. The data source in this study is the poems of the Sun Poems by PBSI UMP 2017 students published in 2020. The data in this study is in the form of lines that indicate the imagery aspect in the collection of Sun poems by PBSI UMP 2017 students. Data collection techniques The technique used in this research is reading and note-taking. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis method. The technique of presenting the results of data analysis used is the informal method. Based on the results of the study, there are six types of imagery in the collection of poems from the Sun Poems by PBSI UMP 2017 students, namely (1). The visual imagery consists of 16 data (2). The auditory image consists of 7 data (3). The tactile imagery consists of 9 data (4). Olfactory images consist of 3 data (5). Motion imagery consists of 5 data. The most dominant imagery used in the collection of Sun poems by PBSI UMP 2017 students is visual imagery, which consists of 16 data.
