Analyzing test items is a common activity which is done by teachers to
produce an instrument for measuring a good quality of learning outcomes.
However, limitation of media becomes barrier for doing so. Iteman verse 4.3 which
becomes the alternative still has limitation, for example the user manual is in
English and difficult to be understood by teachers as user’s. This research has three
aims: (1) creating manual of analysis program Iteman version 4.3 that supports the
process of analysis and enables the users to interpret teachers’ competence in
analyzing test, (2) creating an appropriate manual of analysis program Iteman
version 4.3 that enables the users to interpret teachers’ competence in analyzing test
using Iteman, and (3) creating manual of analysis program Iteman version 4.3
which is effective to improve teachers’ competence in analyzing test.
The research method used is a Research and Development (R&D) adapting
ADDIE procedure. Product testing was done by doing alpha tests by material
experts and media experts at first. Then, the beta test was done in two stages for
Islam Education teachers in Sub Rayon 1 Banyumas Regency. The technique of
collecting data was validation letter from material expert, validation letter from
media expert, questionnaires from teachers as user. The data analysis was done by
using quantitative descriptive technique.
This research produced (1) practical manual of analysis program Iteman
version 4.3 with tutorial video for users, (2) the product was evaluated by material
expert ang media expert as a very feasible tool to use by teachers in item analysis,
and (3) the product is easy to use and can be independently utilized by teachers in
item analysis activity.
