The purpose of this study is to analyze the foreshadowing, suspense, and
surprise components in Yusi Avianto Pareanom's novel Raden Mandasia Si
Pencuri Daging Sapi. This study takes a structuralism-based approach. This
study employs flow theory, a qualitative methodology focusing on flow rules.
The data used in this study arepresented as words, phrases, and paragraphs
that have aspects of suspense, foreshadowing, and surprise. Thenovel Raden
Mandasia Si Pencuri Daging Sapi by Yusi Avianto Pareanom served as the
data source this study. This study used reading and taking notes as data
gathering methods. The methods used for data analysis in thisstudy are data
reduction, data presentation, and conclusion-drawing. The study's suspense,
surprise, and foreshadowing findings were found in Raden Mandasia Si
Pencuri Daging Sapi. These three topics have a fairly consistent flow because
they are interrelated, creating curiosity for the reader.
