The study was intended to know the increased ability to write majenang muhammadiyah junior high school poetry through the application of the method of suggestion. The method of research used is class action research. The study is conducted in two cycles through a four-step study process of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. These studies indicate that learning to write poetry by applying the method of suggestion can improve students' writing ability. Demonstrated with the activities and results of learning to write student poetry at an early pre-cycle with an average value of 57.29. After action has been implemented by the method of Suggestions, it has increased in cycles I with an average score of 68.84 and cycles ii with an average value of 78.82. Therefore, learning by applying the method of suggestion can improve the ability to write poetry.
