Abstract
It is an essential to implement multi-cultural values for students. One of the efforts to implement the values is history learning. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Patikraja in the academic year of 2021/2022. This study aims to determine the process of inculcating multicultural values carried out by history teachers, the obstacles experienced by schools and students, and the solutions made by teachers to overcome the obstacles found. Non-participating observation, systematic observation, interviews, and documentation studies were used to collect the data. The subjects of this study were student representatives, tenth grade history teachers, and tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Patikraja. Sources of data were obtained from informants, observations from history learning activities, and learning device documents. Indonesian history subject teachers use the lecture method. So that history learning is not boring, teachers must further develop their learning media. The teacher's strategy in instilling multi-cultural values in history lessons is by managing the learning process, the teacher applied three stages, namely learning planning, process, and evaluation. The obstacles found included: the Covid-19 pandemic, limited time of offline learning, learning media that is not developed by teachers, and obstacles in the student's condition. The solution used by the teachers included existing media optimization, and developing learning media so that history learning is not boring.
