Abstract

This study aimed to analyze : (1) learning achievement in the experimental class that received project-based learning treatment, (2) learning achievement in the control class that did not receive project-based learning treatment, and (3) the difference between student learning achievement in the experimental class and the control class. This research employs a true experimental design. The population of this study was the whole grade XI IPS, with a sample from class XI IPS 1 serving as the experimental group and XI IPS 4 serving as the control group. Test and documentation techniques were used for data collection. With the aid of the IBM SPSS statistics 25 program, test the hypothesis using a t-test. The findings revealed that: (1) there was a significant diffeerence in student learning achievemnt, with the experimental class “students” learning achievemnent being higher than the control class “student” learning achievemnt utilizing the conventional methods in geography subject. (2) There is an effect of the project-based learning model on the geography learning achievement of the student of SMA Negeri 1 Baturraden.
