Abstract
Learning to improve life skills and entrepreneurial interest in students of
the SMP Equivalent Package B Program is still not optimal, so a learning
approach that can improve students' life skills and entrepreneurial interests is
needed from school which is expected to reduce unemployment in the future. This
study aims to: 1) Explain how the implementation of bioentrepreneurship can
improve the life skills of Package B students equivalent to SMP in Sanggar
Kegiatan Belajar, 2) Explain how much influence the implementation of
bioentrepreneurship can have on improving the life skills of Package B students
equivalent to SMP in Sanggar Kegiatan Belajar, 3) Explain how much the effect
of the implementation of bioentrepreneurship can increase the entrepreneurial
interest of Package B students equivalent to SMP in Sanggar Kegiatan Belajar, 4)
Describe how students respond to science learning with a bioentrepreneurship
approach that is applied using the Teaching Factory model in Sanggar Kegiatan
Belajar. Data collection techniques use interviews, tests, observations, and
questionnaires. While the design of this study was a quasi-experimental design
(Nonequivalent control group design). Methods of data analysis use descriptive
percentages of life skills scores and questionnaires and then analyzed with
prametric statistics, namely t test.
The results showed that the use of a bioentrepreneurship-oriented science
learning approach could increase the life skills and entrepreneurial interest of the
Package B students equivalent to the SMP class IX Sanggar Kegiatan Belajar
Kalibagor and Sanggar Kegiatan Belajar Ajibarang. The increase in life skills and
entrepreneurial interest of Sanggar Kegiatan Belajar Ajibarang students is not
high because as a control they are not given practical treatment but conventional
learning. So it can be concluded that the Bioentrepreneurship approach is suitable
used in science learning materials for Biotechnology to improve the life skills and
entrepreneurial interests of students supported by the Teaching Factory model in
the Learning Activity Center.
