This research is backgrounded by the variety of religions, cultures, races, and tribes in Indonesia. In this case, Fachruddin as a figure of multiculturalism tried to embrace all these differences in his concept of thought. The purpose of this study is to analyze Wahid's thoughts on multiculturalism and its implications for Islamic agam education in Indonesia.
This research is a type of library research (Library Research) that draws from AR Facruddin's thinking by using data collection techniques in the form of documentation taken from primary and secondary data for content analysis using inductive and deductive techniques in an effort to obtain results and conclusions.
The results of this study conclude that AR Fachruddin's thoughts on multiculturalism can be seen from several thoughts, namely: first: thoughts about individuals, namely: thoughts about where we should help each other and help each other. Second: thoughts about religion, namely: so that we can live with respect for one another towards fellow religious people. Third: thinking about politics, namely: unity about the existence of various trends in political choices and also about the importance of the relationship between the people and the authorities. Fourth: cultural calm thinking, namely: according to Pak AR we live in a diverse culture. So you can't force everyone to be like us. All the concepts of multiculturalism are discussed in the da'wah of Islam in Indonesia. The contribution of the results of this study is expected to be able to add insight into the scientific treasures of the figures and as a reference for other researchers.
