Abstract
The increase in traffic load leads to premature damage in the form of cracks and deformation of the pavement. There are still many damaged roads before the service period ends. Efforts are being made to find alternative modifiers that can improve the quality of asphalt, but they are cheap and widely available in Indonesia. To solve the problem of road pavement damage and to help rubber farmers, raw rubber is used as a pavement material to modify asphalt. Asphalt testing with the Marshall Test, using 4 variations of raw rubber content 0%, 6.5%, 7%, and 7.5%, for each raw rubber content, at least 3 test objects were made, so a total of 12 test objects. This research was carried out using the AC-WC asphalt concrete (LASTON) pavement method with reference to the optimum asphalt level plan (Pb) of 5.70% under conditions of 2 x 75 collisions (with automatic machines), and by using fine aggregate in the form of milled sand. Of the 4 samples, the best results were obtained at 7% raw rubber content with a VIM value of 4.14%, VMA 15.39%, and VFA 73.18% and a Marshall Stability value (Stability) 1524.47 kg, melting value (Flow) 3 , 13 mm and the Marshall Quotient (MQ) value of 508.95 kg / mm.
