This research is motivated by the importance of children being able to
communicate, ask and answer questions to the teacher. Lack of children
communicating and the courage of children to tell their play experiences and not
fluently answering questions. The problem revealed in this study is whether
through Cooperative Learning activities the beam game can improve children's
communication skills. The aim of this research is to find out whether the block
play can improve the communication skills of children in KB Aisyiyah
Pasirmuncang, Purwokerto Barat District, Banyumas Regency. This study uses
Classroom Action Research (CAR), which is carried out in two cycles with each
cycle containing planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The data
source of this research is children aged 3-5 years in the Aisyiyah Pasirmuncang
Play Group. The unit beam game has been proven to be able to improve children's
communication, which is seen from the observation data sheet when playing
blocks at the center. Children's communication ability to answer questions,
express desires, ask questions increases. In cycle I 42% results were obtained and
cycle II 80.9% results were obtained.
Based on the overall results of this study it can be concluded that the
hypothesis in this study is proven to improve the communication skills of
children aged 4-5 years in the Aisyiyah Pasirmuncang Play Group.
