The research entitled Analysis of Rhetorical and Figurative Speeches in the Tempurung Novel by Oka Rusmini. It aims to describe the types of rhetorical and figurative speeches. This type of research was descriptive qualitative research. The approach used was a stylistic approach. The data in this study were words or sentences that contained rhetorical and figurative speeches. The data source in this research was the Tempurung novel by Oka Rusmini. At the data collection stage, the researcher used reading and noting techniques. In the data analysis stage, the researcher first reduced the data that has been found and then presented the results of reduction. In the last stage, the researcher verified the data to re-check the records contained in the previous stage. The results of research and discussion on the analysis of rhetorical and figurative speeches in the novel found five types of rhetorical styles including alliteration, anastrophe, apostrophe, euphemism, and hyperbole. The figurative speeches contained in the novel including simile, personification, metaphor, and sarcasm. The most common types, anastrophe and sarcasm, were found in the Tempurung novel by Oka Rusmini.
