Background: The use of traditional medicine continues to increase. Many people use traditional medicine for treatment and health care. However, the level of public knowledge about the use of traditional medicines is still limited. Some people do not know that the use of traditional medicines not only has benefits but also can cause risks related to toxicity, drug interactions, or side effects. So education is needed using the CBIA method. Methods: This research method used a quasi-experimental design which was carried out on two groups, namely the intervention group and the control group using a questionnaire. Results: The average level of knowledge on the use of traditional medicines before CBIA treatment was 48.2 and 43.8 in the control group. After the treatment, the mean results of knowledge were 96.5 in the CBIA group and 81.8 in the control group. Based on the results of the Wilcoxon test, it could be concluded that there is a significant difference in knowledge of the use of traditional medicines before and after the CBIA method (p-value 0.000). Conclusion: There are differences in the level of knowledge about the use of traditional medicines before and after the CBIA method and leaflets were carried out.
