Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of social support on employee well being on employees who work in the field of Information Engineering at PT. Kharisma Dua Putri. This research is a quantitative research and the sampling technique used is the saturated sample technique. Respondents in this study were 72 employees. The data collection instrument used a social support scale and an employee well being scale. Data analysis in this study used simple regression analysis. The results of the regression test for the effect of social support on employee well-being obtained the calculated F value = 22,035 and the probability value of sig. (p) = 0.000 (p <0.05) so it can be said to be significant, and t count = 4.694 and the probability value is sig. (p) = 0.000 (p <0.05) so that it can be said to be significant, then the hypothesis is accepted that there is a significant influence between social support on employee well-being. It was found that the value of Rsquare = 0.239, which means that social support provides an effective contribution of 23.9% to employee well being, while 76.1% is a contribution from other factors not examined. This is reinforced by the results of the regression line equation, namely: (y = a + bx) namely y = 82.155 + 0.499x. So it can be concluded that social well-being will change by 0.499 for every change that occurs in social support.
