Abstract

Students' fine motor skills in finger painting activities are still low. This
research entitled "Efforts to Improve Fine Motor Ability through Finger Painting
Activities in Children in Aisyiyah Arcawinangun Play Group, East Purwokerto
District, Banyumas Regency Odd Semester, Academic Year 2019-2020" which
aims to improve fine motor skills using finger painting on the Aisyiyah
Arcawinangun Play Group student, East Purwokerto District, Banyumas Regency.
The subjects of this study were 22 students of the Aisyiyah Arcawinangun
Play Group consisting of 11 male students and 11 female students. Sources of data
used are observation and documentation. This type of research is a classroom
action research conducted for two cycles. While the data analysis method used in
this research is descriptive data analysis method with a qualitative approach.
The results show that there is an increase in fine motor physical development.
This is shown by the learning outcomes for two cycles. In Pre-Cycle learning, the
motor skills of Aisyiyah Arcawinangun's play group in the undeveloped category
(BB) 10 children (22%), started to develop (MB) 5 children (11%), developed
according to expectations (BSH) 7 children (15%) 0 children (0%) developed very
well. In cycle I, the fine motor skills of children with underdeveloped category
(BB) 5 children (11%), started to develop (MB) 9 children (19%), developed
according to expectations (BSH) 8 children (17%), developed very well 0 (0%). In
cycle II, children with underdeveloped category (BB) 0 children (0%), started to
develop 7 children (15%), developed according to the expectations of 6 children
(13%), 9 children developed very well (19%). Thus, it can be seen that there is an
increase in the fine motoric development of children from the initial condition to
cycle II by 89.09%.
