The science of computer technology is currently growing rapidly, it will be
very useful if its use is in accordance with the needs. Currently PT.Mega Eltra does
not have an inventory information system. The system currently running is
recording data using book media and Microsoft Excel. This resulted in several
problems including uncontrolled stock of goods, making old reports and inaccurate
results. The data collection process in this way is still less effective when collecting
data in large quantities, because it requires accuracy in inputting large amounts of
data. Data collection in large quantities can result in data redundancy (dual data).
To facilitate staff in recording goods, it is necessary to design an inventory
information system using the economic order quantity method, and in this study
used data collection methods using the waterfall method, namely data analysis,
system design, implementation, and system testing. Based on the results of this
study, testing of incoming and outgoing goods inventory information systems using
the economic order quantity method can make it easier to record inventory,
incoming and outgoing goods data.
