Abstract
Every year Banyumas Regency experiences motorist accidents on the
Banyumas Regency highway. The accident could exceed the number of accidents
recorded at the Banyumas Satlantas Polresta. According to data held by the
Banyumas Traffic Police, the number of accident-prone areas in Banyumas is 6
points and information is obtained that in the period 1 November 2018 - 31 October
2020 there were 51 incidents and 74 victims. This causes the need for an androidbased
geographic information system for accident-prone areas in Banyumas to
describe a map of the location of accident-prone areas along with the information
needed. Geographic Information System (GIS) is a system designed to work with
geographically spatially referenced data. Design and build this application using
the waterfall method. By obtaining data on accident-prone areas from the
Banyumas Police Satlantas unit. This Accident-Prone Geographical System
application is based on Android with the Java Script programming language and
Google Maps Api to display a map of the Banyumas area. With this application, it
can make it easier for the public to find out information about the location of
accident-prone areas in the Banyumas Regency and correct driving tips.
