Abstract

The lighting still uses technology with maximum power with a power source from PLN. The physical construction of the PJU is carried out by the district government and includes the electricity bill payment. Problems with this lighting system arise due to a lot of power consumption with enormous power and the lamp's operating time. Lighting systems with light intensity settings should be used as a solution to reduce power consumption. The making of a DC light intensity regulation system with automatic scheduling can be a solution to improve electrical energy efficiency. This system used Arduino Nano, RTC DS3231 and the PWM Driver as a light intensity regulator. This research used 27 watts DC LED floodlight to compare always-on in maximum power with a scheduled intensity system. From this research, the dimming scheduling system compared to the always-on maximum power 12 hours a day mode shows a percentage of electrical energy efficiency of 19.58%. Thus as much as 0.003792 kWh could be saved per day.
