This study aimed to determine the impact of phubbing (phone snubbing) due to excessive smartphone use on the social interactions of preschool children. The subjects of this study were 5-6-year-old children in Pananjung Village, Pangandaran Subdistrict, Pangandaran Regency, totaling 2 children, and 2 parents. This was descriptive qualitative research using a case study approach. Observation, interviews, and documentation were used as the data collection techniques. The assessment instruments involved observation sheets for parents, interview guides for parents, and observation sheets on the impact of phubbing behavior due to excessive smartphone use on the social interactions of preschool children. The phubbing behavior affects preschool children, especially the lack of social interaction with other people and the lack of respect impression to the people in the surrounding. This impact has led to changes in various patterns of human relations, which are essentially interpersonal interactions or face-to-face interactions. Parents should be able to educate their children wisely and learn more knowledge about children's growth and development.
