This study aims to examine the effect of managerial ownership, institutional ownership, leverage, and firm size on financial distress. This research is a quantitative research. The data source used is secondary data in the form of the company's annual financial statements. In this study, financial distress is proxied using the Almant Z-score. The population used in this study are primary consumer companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014-2020. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique and obtained 16 companies as samples with 112 data observations. The data analysis method used is logistic regression analysis using the Statistical Package ForSocial Sciences (SPSS) version 20 program. The results of this study indicate that managerial ownership and institutional ownership have a negative effect on financial distress. Leverage has a positive effect on financial distress. While the size of the company has no effect on financial distress.
