This study aimed to describe conversational implicature, including: (1) the types, and (2) the functions of the conversational implicature of the main character in the Kapai-kapai drama by Arifin C. Noor, uploaded to YouTube on 14 February 2019. This was qualitative research. The object of this research was the conversational implicature in the characters' communications. The type of this research was descriptive qualitative. The data is the speech of the main character Abu in the drama. The primary data source was the conversations of the main characters which contained implicature. In addition, the secondary data source was the video of Kapai-kapai drama by Arifin C. Noor, uploaded to YouTube on 14 February 2019. The data were collected by using the reading and note-taking technique. The data analysis method was the pragmatic and referential equivalence method, starting with the stage of classifying the data related to implicature. The data were analyzed using the dividing key-factors technique, followed by the equalizing technique. The results were presented with an informal presentation method, displaying the data in the form of a written report. The validity of the data was obtained by the persistence of the observer, carrying out the observation repeatedly and in-depth for a long time to obtain valid research results. The results of this study are as follows: the types of the conversational implicature of the main character in Arifin C. Noor's drama of Kapai-Kapai consist of (1) specific conversational implicature, (2) general conversational implicature, and (3) scaled conversational implicature. The functions of the conversational implicature of the main character (Abu) in the video consist of (1) assertive functions, (2) directive functions, (3) commissive functions, and (4) expressive functions.
