Types of Directive Illocutionary Speech Acts in the Animated Film Series

Nussa on Nussa Official Youtube Channel Uploaded in November 2019. This study
aimedto describe the types of directive illocutionary speech acts in the animated film
series Nussa. This is a type ofdescriptive qualitative research. This study used 3 stages
of research, namely (1) the stage of providing data, (2)the stage of analyzing the data,
(3) the stage of presenting the results of data analysis. Observation method withbasic
recording technique followed by observation non-participatory and note-taking
(SLBC) techniques in thedata classification table was done to collect the data.
Distributional and comparative methods were used in thestage of analyzing the data.
The distributional method was used to determine the type of speech through
thesegmenting immediate constituents technique (BUL) followed by the marker
reading technique. On the otherhand, the analysis on the types of directive
illocutionary speech acts was carried out by the dividing key-factors(PUP) technique
followed by the equalizing technique (HBS). Informal presentation method was done
at the stageof presenting the results of the data analysis. Based on the results of the
data analysis in the episodes of ShalatItu Wajib, Berhutang Atau Tidak, Tetanggaku
Hebat, Ayo Olahraga from the animated film series Nussa, therefound a total of 67
data on types of directive illocutionary speech acts. These types of directive speech
acts canbe classified into: 1) 21 requests, 2) 18 questions, 3) 10 commands, 4) 5
prohibitions, 5) 7 permissions, and 6) 6advices.
