Abstract

The purpose of this research was to find out the effectiveness of rhythmic exercise
on the kinesthetic intelligence of students in TK Pertiwi Semedo, Pekuncen Subdistrict,
Banyumas Regency. This research used a quantitative approach with an
experimental method and pretest-posttest control group design which included 34
children as the subjects. The data were analyzed using Wilcoxon signed-rank,
IBM SPSS Statistic 26. The results showed that the significance level of the
experiment group was 0.000 (p 0.05)and the average score of the pretest was
12.52 which meant the early condition of the children's kinesthetic intelligence
was low, while the post-test score was 23.29 which meant it was very good. The
increase of kinesthetic intelligence in the experiment group was 10.77.
Meanwhile, the significance level of the control group was0.000 (p 0.05), and the
average score of the pretest was 11.76 which meant the early condition of the
children's kinesthetic intelligence was very low. Then, the average score of the
post-test was 14.94 which meant it was low. The increase of kinesthetic
intelligence in the control group was 3.18. Because the experiment group had a
more significant increase than the control group, it could be concluded that
rhythmic exercise was effective for early children's kinesthetic intelligence in TK
Pertiwi Semedo, Pekuncen Sub-district, Banyumas Regency.
