Spatial planning has three objectives, namely optimizing the use of resources, balance and justice, and continuity. Deviations in the use of space from the spatial plan are feared to hinder this goal. An analysis and direction of the spatial use strategy is carried out as a consideration for decision making in determining the policy of improving the spatial plan as a technical reference in the use of space and determining the optimal area. This study aims to examine the SWOT analysis and the strategy for using regional spatial planning in the Kebondalem area of Purwokerto Lor, Banyumas Regency.Data collection techniques used in this research using questionnaires and documentation. The data used are primary data and secondary data, primary data in the form of data through in-depth interviews and questions through questionnaires about Swot Analysis of Regional Spatial Utilization Strategies in Kebondalem City, Purwokrto Lor, Banyumas Regency and secondary data in the form of topographic maps, demographic data, and rainfall data. The data analysis used by the researcher is the analysis of land suitability for forest functions using scoring, overlapping, while for rainfed rice fields without irrigation and settlements using overlapping techniques. The results of this research are based on the difference in the total score / value of the influence of internal elements (Strengths and Weaknesses) is the difference in the total score of the results of the research analysis (1.013– 0.980 = 0.033). And the difference in the total value of the influence of external elements (Opportunities and Threats) is (1.205 – 0.968 = 0.237). Based on the SWOT diagram. Utilization of space in Kebondalem Purwokerto Lor is in Cell I shows that the use of space in Kebondalem Purwokerto Lor has a favorable situation because it has the Strength (S) of the street vendor community in Kebondalem Purwokerto Timur which has been moved from 2016-2017 for market enlargement so that the community is more strategic together royong to help with these activities provided by the government the existence of a public transportation terminal to facilitate transportation routes and invite more people to come to Kebondalem Purwokerto Lor for Opportunity Utilization (O) Kebondalem Purwokerto Lor has a commitment to the importance of spatial planning as a guide in the process of regulating and controlling space as a whole The Kebondalem Purwokerto Lor area which will be implemented with a Regional Spatial Plan and the use of land to be managed wisely will provide optimal benefits.
