In this moment, education system using online learning as the learning system with some medias as the support system. Some perceptions will come from students in the use of the media or application that determine student and lecturer’s comfort for joining the online learning. This study aimed to find out students’ perception towards the use of BigBlueButton in English Education Department Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. This study used descriptive quantitative research method. The data were collected by using questionnaire and interview. There were 25 statements in questionnaire and five questions in interview. There were 46 respondents from six and eight semester of English Education Department students that used BigBlueButton in online learning process who filled the questionnaire and 7 of them were interviewed. The result of the analysis is students have positive perception towards the use of BigBlueButton with the percentage of 65.82%. By using BigBlueButton in online learning process, students are able to have question and answer activity with other students and use the useful BigBlueButtons’ features effectively. Students also understand lecturers’ explanation better during the online learning process. Nevertheless, there are some problems that students face when using BigBlueButton which students can still handle it such as the unstable signal, automatic recording feature, and by using BigBlueButton, we cannot do other activities from different application in one device.
