Abstract

This research is aimed to know the perception of reading assessment at
five senior high schools of Purwokerto namely SMA Negeri 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5
Purwokerto. The subject of this research is twenty one teachers. This research is
collected using questionnaire and interview. The result showed that all English
Teachers used all types of reading assessment at a high frequency. The percentage
varied with the highest percentage is 80% on extensive reading. Interview results
also indicate that the teachers have assessed in EFL classes that have the variety
response. It concluded that the teachers have positive answers on reading
assessment that done in EFL class.
